Meal Plan Friday: 7/22/2016

We are back from vacation which means we are back on schedule. I can resume my Friday grocery shopping with my cash budget. This also means I can resume Meal Plan Friday based on what I’ve purchased.

My freezer still has a nice quantity of food in it which is saving me from buying some of the more expensive items in the store. This is a great perk to stocking up your freezer when you can. Made too much food? No big deal. Portion out the leftovers and freeze some. You’ll be happy you have those frozen meals later when you don’t feel like cooking. (This saves me a lot of trouble on those extra hard toddler days.)

I also have to say that I have really been enjoying shopping at Aldi. It normally isn’t the first place I think of to go grocery shopping, although it is quickly becoming my new favorite. Sometime in 2017, we’re getting a Publix too. I am looking forward to seeing what new variety they’ll bring us, especially in the Deli department! (I still see myself shopping primarily at Aldi even after Publix gets here.)

    • Dinner = Turkey Enchilada Pasta

    • Breakfast = Yogurt, Fruit, and Toast
    • Lunch = Leftovers
    • Dinner = Chicken Tacos
  • Wednesday:
    • Breakfast = Bacon and Eggs
    • Lunch = Salads
    • Dinner = BBQ Chicken with Beans and Carrots and Mashed Potatoes
  • Thursday:
  • Friday:
    • Breakfast = Pancakes
    • Lunch = Leftovers
    • Dinner = Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Beans and Carrots
  • Saturday:
    • Breakfast = Pop Tarts
    • Lunch = Sandwiches
    • Dinner = Hot Dogs and Tater Tots
